Mystery Picture–Who are these girls?
Found in a freecycled dresser
I was cleaning out an old desk that I have in my office and I found a picture in a frame at the back of the desk. I “Freecycled” the desk from the side of the road a few years ago so I have no idea who these people are. I always treasure my pictures and I am always surprised by my reaction to photos of people I don’t know. I am curious but they don’t evoke an emotional reaction in me at all. You might say, “Of course, Melanie. You don’t know them.” Which is true, but I always wonder at my lack of connection with some sort of basic humanity. I am shocked by my callousness and yet I find it almost impossible to throw this picture away.
